- Isolated native entomopathogenic nematodes from Cotton ecosystem and identified, Steinernema siamkayai as an effective isolate against lepidopteron pests of cotton.
- Identified hot spots for plant parasitic nematodes in Cotton growing zones of India.
- Developed Integrated Nematode Management strategy for the management of Reniform nematode in Cotton ecosystem.
- Standardised methodology for screening large number of cotton germplasm against Reniform nematode.
- Isolated 75 isolates of native entomopathogenic fungi from sucking pests of Cotton and identified two potent fungi viz., Lecanicillium lecanii and Metarhizium anisopliae for the eco-friendly management of sucking pests in Cotton.
- Isolated several nematode antagonistic fungi and bacteria from the rhizosphere of Cotton and identified Purpureocillium lilacinum as an effective nematode antagonistic fungus.
- Twenty seven Gene sequences of native fungi, bacteria and nematode have been deposited in NCBI Gen bank.
- Isolated and identified endophytic fungus from cotton roots and explored for the management of nematodes in Cotton.
- Isolated a native nematode egg parasitic fungus, Pochonia chlamydosporia from the egg mass of Reniform nematode. This is the first report from India.
- Identified insecticidal compounds produced by L.lecanii, M.anisopliae and Cladosporium cladosporioides.
- Standaridised methodology for mass multiplication and formulation of nematode antagonistic and entomopathogenic fungi.
- Proved wide spectrum of activity of L.lecanii against sucking pests, fungi and nematodes and identified insecticidal, fungicidal and nematicidal compounds by GCMS.
- Developed talc based formulation of two native entomopathogenic fungi, L.lecanii and M.anisopliae. This technology is validated in AICCIP on Cotton centres in north, Central and South Zone for three years. This technology is now recommended for the management of sucking pests in Cotton.
- Devloped talc based formulation of P.lilacinum for the management of nematodes in Cotton ecosystem.
